About Patapau

PATAPAU was born from my personal design journey. About eight years ago, I—Karina, now an interior decorator and color specialist—began creating and designing my own home entirely from scratch. Through that process, I discovered how challenging it was to find accessible, well-structured guidance and affordable tools for achieving a cohesive, cozy home.

After successfully completing my own project, I completed series of interior design courses in college of design, where I deepened my understanding of color theory, the way colors influence mood and psychology, and how balanced color choices can completely transform the feeling of a space.

This knowledge inspired me to help others. What started as my personal passion has grown into PATAPAU — a fully virtual home coziness studio, dedicated to helping people design homes that feel calm, grounded, and beautifully connected through whole-house color palettes.

Each Patapau palette is professionally designed with a decorator’s eye and a color specialist’s precision. Every shade is hand-selected to complement the others, reflecting the harmony and balance found in nature’s own color relationships.

My palettes are tailored for Organic Modern, Japandi, Coastal, Modern Farmhouse, Wabi-Sabi, Modern Rustic and Transitional interiors—styles that celebrate natural simplicity and timeless comfort.
